East Erie Creative is a small communications design studio located in downtown Jersey City. We do print design and production, web and user interface design, branding and advertising.
Aubrey Arago Bowser, Creative Director and Principal. A creative and technical powerhouse, Aubrey has designed games for a leading educational game developer; worked as an interface designer for Razorfish, Inc; served as Creative Director for Lime Wire, and spent 2 years as a creative consultant for the Department of Defense — creating websites for military game developers. Aubrey holds a BA in Art History from Vassar College and a Masters in Communications Design from Pratt Institute.
Aubrey is also a musician, with 15 years experience playing drums. She has been in bands with members of Rye Coalition, Ted Leo and The Pharmacists, The Bravery, Supertouch, The Format, and Skavoovie and the Epitones and has opened and toured with Fallout Boy, Taking Back Sunday, and Matchbook Romance. She still plays actively in an indie rock band in Jersey City and is addicted to world travel.
Mike Bowser, Creative Director and Principal. Mike brings over 10 years of design experience to East Erie Creative. He most recently served as Creative Director for Innodata Isogen (INOD), a global technology company with 7,000 employees worldwide. Mike also worked for Ziff Davis Media in Boston and was a Senior Designer at Myway.com, a CMGI Company. Mike has a BS in Graphic Design from Northeastern University and studies advanced design at the School of Visual Arts.
Mike is also a musician whose passion for playing guitar landed him a spot with seminal hardcore band Slapshot from 1993 to 2003. During that time, Mike toured the US and Europe extensively. Nowadays, the only touring Mike likes to do is for himself.
